George Orson Welles - American actor, director and screenwriter



He was born in 1915 and died in 1984.
He was active in a lot of artistic fields, such as cinema, radio, painting and also theatre.
He was very famous in Hollywood during the 40's but in the 50's and 60's he moved to Europe.
His relationship with Hollywood is a love/hate relationship. Before he died he suffered obesity.
His ashes rest in Spain.

E' nato nel 1915 e morto nel 1984.
Era attivo in molti campi artistici come ad esempio cinema, radio, pittura e teatro.
Era molto famoso a Hollywood durante gli anni '40 ma tra gli anni '50 e '60 si trasferì in Europa.
Il suo rapporto con Hollywood è stato di amore/odio. Prima di morire ha sofferto di obesità.
Le sue ceneri riposano in Spagna.

Jean-Luc Godard - French director

He's born in Paris in 1930.



He's born in a rich swiss family. During the 50's he started as a film critic for various french magazines.
From the 60's until now he is one of the most famous french directors of XX century.

E' nato in una ricca famiglia svizzera. Durante gli anni '50 ha iniziato a lavorare come critico di film per diverse riviste francesi.
Dagli anni '60 fino ad oggi è considerato uno dei registi francesi più importanti del XX secolo.

Federico Fellini - Italian director

Born in Rimini in 1920, died in Rome in 1993.



Federico Fellini is one of the greatest directors of all time. His movies are famous not only in Italy but they became worldwide important.
His first experience were in the radio and as a screenwriter. He started directing movies only in the 50's but his great success, "La dolce Vita" is from the 60's.

Federico Fellini è uno dei più grandi registi di tutti i tempi. I suoi film non erano famosi solo in Italia ma diventarono importanti in tutto il mondo.
Le sue prime esperienze sono state nel campo della radio e della sceneggiatura. Ha iniziato a dirigere film già negli anni '50 ma il suo maggiore successo, "La dolce Vita" è degli anni '60.

Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra - american singers and actors.

Dino Crocetti (Dean Martin) was born in 1917 and died in 1995, he was from the US but had italian origins.
Francis Sinatra (Frank Sinatra) was born in 1915 and died in 1998, he was also of italian origins.



Frank Sinatra's parents were from Italy, where he became then known as "The Voice".
His father was a boxer and his mother is the owner of a shop, he's their only child.
His favourite singer is Bing Crosby and he wants to become a singer, just like him. He starts singing in some bars and restaurants and in 1940 his first song was produced. During the 50's he went through a period of personal and professional crisis but in the 60's he formed the "Rat Pack" a group of singers, together with Dean Martin (his best friend), Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford. They became very famous, thanks to their anti-racial message. He returned in Italy between the 80's and the 90's, before he died back in the US. His music remains immortal and he is now considered part of the popular culture.

I genitori di Frank Sinatra venivano dall'Italia, paese in cui lui venne conosciuto come "The Voice".
Suo padre era un pugile e sua madre aveva un negozio; era figlio unico.
Il suo cantante preferito era Bing Crosby e ha sempre desiderato diventare un cantante, proprio come lui.
Inizia a cantare nei locali ma le sue prime canzoni risalgono al 1940. Negli anni '50 passa un brutto periodo, sia personale che professionale ma durante gli anni '60 forma il "Rat Pack" che lo riporta al successo. Il Rat Pack era un gruppo di cantanti  fondato da Sinatra, Dean Martin (suo migliore amico), Sammy Davis Jr, Joey Bishop e Peter Lawford. Diventarono molto famosi grazie al loro messaggio anti-razzista.
E' ritornato in Italia tra gli anni '80 e '90 prima di morire, negli USA.
La sua musica rimane immortale ed è entrato ultimamente nella cultura popolare.

Dean Martin begun his carreer as a boxer, but then he changed his name and started again as a singer.
During the 50's he reached success also as an actor, but his main role is as a member of the "Rat Pack".
He has always been the best friend of Frank Sinatra, also because they had a similar family background.
He married three times and had 8 children, one of them adopted. He died on X-mas day of 1995. He's been always considered the "coolest man of the world" also by the Playboy magazine and from Elvis Presley.

Dean Martin iniziò la sua carriera come pugile ma dopo aver cambiato nome iniziò a diventare famoso anche come cantante. Durante gli anni '50 divenne famoso anche come attore ma il suo ruolo principale è sicuramente come membro del Rat Pack. E' sempre stato il migliore amico di Frank Sinatra, anche perchè avevano un background familiare simile. Si è sposato 3 volte e ha avuto 8 figli, uno dei quali adottato.
E' morto il giorno di Natale del 1995. E' considerato l'uomo più cool del mondo, sia dal giornale Playboy che da Elvis Presley.

Sean Connery - scottish actor



Sean Connery was born in Edimburgh, in 1930.
His main role was as one of the interpreter of James Bond, during the 60's. After his experience as 007, he remains one of the most famous actors of the last decades. He always worked with important directors.

Sean Connery è nato a Edimburgo nel 1930.
Il suo ruolo principale è stato quello di James Bond negli anni '60. Dopo la sua esperienza come 007, rimane sempre uno degli attori più famosi degli ultimi decenni. Ha sempre lavorato con i registi più importanti.
